I've struggled for years with saying 'no' and feeling guilty. It was only when I started trying saying 'no' to little things that I realized that, as you said, people don't really care. I stopped feeling guilty for putting my needs first. I started seeing that saying 'no' was a kindness to myself and actually to others. Thanks for this post.

Thank you for this. This is exactly what I have been struggling with my whole life. I have just recently started saying no, or just not offering what I know I don't really have to give. It is foreign at this point but empowering. Baby steps.
